Design a New Single dwelling 145 the promenade , Sans souci,Sydney ,NSW Australia

KOGARAH CITY COUNCIL
This project designed by Tectongroup Pty Ltd,
the designer is Mrs Rana Jaber
Site Identification Site area: 543 square meters The site is located on a quiet residential street, in the municipality of Kogarah City Council. The land is 11.82 meters in width and 28.66 meters to 34.36 meters in depth. The west side is looking to Kogarah Bay. Above: Aerial view of the site in context currently existing on the property is a Fibro cottage tiled roof, which is to be demolished to accommodate the proposed development. A new single dwelling is proposed with two car park garage. The living areas and amenities are on the ground floor whilst the bedrooms are on the first floor. A swimming pool is also proposed on the ground floor, The coping level is not to be elevated more than 500 mm above natural or existing ground level. On the ground floor, extending from the living areas is a private open space that takes advantage of the water view of Kogarah Bay. after several meeting with the client, we modified to be as shown under GROUND FLOOR AREA 133.271 m2/ FIRST FLOOR GFA 145.358m2
The land is 543 square meters; therefore, the maximum Floor Space Ratio allowed is 0.55:1. Hence, the maximum Gross Floor area permitted by Council is 289.65m2. Therefore, the proposed development complies with the Council’s requirements. Building Height As can be seen on the accompanying architectural drawings, the maximum building height is7.20 meters To the inner side of the ceiling. The proposed building height is only 7.10 meters maximum to the inner side of the proposed ceiling. Hence the new residence will comply with the Development Control Plan (DCP). The finished floor level of the ground floor living areas is proposed to be elevated 300 mm from the natural ground level. As can be seen on the shadow diagrams, any new residence would have cast considerable shadows. However the proposed development provides minimal effects onto the adjacent properties, Having considerable setback from all boundaries, will sunlight into the adjacent properties. The adjoining dwellings will have a minimum of 3 hours where the proposed dwelling does not cast a shadow on to the windows of the habitable rooms. The new residence will comply with the requirements of the DCP.

women and men

this image from this site morecruitment.co.uk
I think there are many jobs that women and men can do normally. But we can say that there are many jobs which men can do but the women can't and the opposite is true too.For example, you know that women haven't got enough strength to be a worker in a building and hold and carry heavy things like brick,stones,sand,tiles..etc, but men can do it. On the other hand, a woman is very good with babies and take care of them all the time even if she has to clean the house or cook, vacuum, take care of the garden and study or even work.

Harmony day 2009

Harmony day is a celebration held on 21 of March each year. They celebrate it because Australia has different cultures living together in harmony.
In TAFE we have celebrated it together. We went upstairs in building A to a big room, the conference room, and while we entered they gave us badges and stickers. Then we sat and listened to a teacher who explained what we would celebrate. She gave a ribbon roll to the first row to write on any word, even if it was in our language but the roll didn't reach us.
There were four people from other classes who spoke about their experiences when the came to Australia. The first of them was an Indian man who has been in Australia for four months only. Then two Chinese women spoke. A Lebanese woma stood and said that she wanted to talk , when she finished they all clapped strongly for her . Actually I spoke with her after the celebration and said to her that she was great and she told me that her words were coming from her heart because she really loves Australia.
By the way, there was also a Chinese woman who played with a Chinese instrument. She played a Chinese slow melody which was wonderful.
Then we sang together the Australian anthem. After that we sang a song " We are many but we are one" It was so nice to sing together. At last we had breakfast and a drink, then we returned to class with Rosa . Really it was a great time we spent together .

Funy story

Hi every body. Today I want to talk about a funny thing that happened to me when I was 8 years old. I was walking to school with my older sister Rash. Every day we had to walk through a public garden, a big area, There were many big dogs in the far side of this park. These dogs were homeless and dirty. Actually they were a sleep all the time, That is why we made fun of them every time we saw them. That made me brave to have more fun of them . My sister said to me "don't go near them !you may get hurt ". I used to shout at them and laugh. Then I said to my sister "see ! see! they are very funny . I think even if a cat walks in front of them, they wont do any thing! will they ? hahahaha". Then I turned to them and said "Miaow .....Miaow.....Maiow" Try to make my voice like a cat's voice. In this second all things changed? All of them woke up and you can't imagine how angry they became? and their eyes looked straight to me and Rasha. I was so a fraid that I found my self on the other side of the long garden because I had run as fast I could. When I turned looking for my sister. I found her standing against the dogs blocking the way between them and me and looking to them with strong eyes . She was never a fraid. That why the dogs returned to their place.
I looked to my hand ! Where is my bag? Oh I run without it ? I was Such a brave girl! I learnt from this allot of things. That I must be good with these animal because they are strong but they don't hurt us so i mustn't hurt them . And the other things I learnt from my sister were to think about the others not to be selfish when I run and leave my sister alone which was standing to avoid the danger and save me. I was a child but I didn't forget that.

We successfully got approved for the Multi Dwellings project at ( - ) OGILVY STREET PEAKHURST
